Miss Saginaw county 2018 Shelby Saint Souver, is 23, a graduate of Saginaw Nouvel Catholic Central High School and a graduate of Michigan State University. Shelby holds a Bachelor Degree in Communication from MSU and works for the Flint Firebirds. Shelby's platform is “Food for Thought: Building A Healthy America”. That platform enables her to educate youth about healthy living and a positive body image. She has developed a cook book “My Taste: Youth Cookbook”. The book consists of MyPlate approved recipes created by youth from around the state. All proceeds from her cookbook benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals which the Miss America Program is partnered with.
Miss Spirit of the State 2018 Shelby Lentz attended Belmont University in Nashville for two years and will attend Western Michigan University this fall. Shelby will be working towards a Bachelor of Music Business Administration and further her present career as a Singer-Songwriter. Shelby's platform is "Huntington’s Disease Awareness". Shelby will spend her year as Miss Spirit of the State, working hard to promote the significance of her platform and continue to fundraise and find a cure.
